How Do I Copy A File To My Class Folder

Make sure you copy directly to your folder. I have changed the protection on the top level of class folders so new folders can not be created there. Students were inadvertently (or not) creating folders there, changing color labels, and moving folders around.

So if you want to move a file from your desktop to your class folder, one way to do it is the following. Open up a finder window. Navigate by double-clicking or using column view to your class folder (for example, Heffernan.) Click and drag the file you want to copy from your desktop to your folder (for example, Heffernan.)

Note: some teachers have there own password protected folders so this would not apply directly to them.
