Which Printer Is Which and Which Can I Use?

Don't forget to always check where your print-outs are going. You will see one or more of these printers when you go to print something. Note that OS X users have click on the little back triangle next to the default printers name to see all the printers.

Dunphy Office Copier - ATD Office Copier (old name - ir600-60_600_605 Print)
James Office Copier - HEJ "Office" Copier (old name - ir330-HEJ_300_405 Print)
Dunphy Lab Color - ATD Lab Color Printer (old name - Dunphy HP Color LaserJet 2600n)
James Lab Color - HEJ Lab Color Printer (old name - James HP Color LaserJet 2550)
HEJ Color Printer - Color Printer in Karen's room - obsolete - do not use
hp color LaserJet 2550 series (B8DD57) - Obsolete - do not use

It is always a good idea to preview what you print and instruct the students to do the same.

I am planning on coming around at some point and making the names a little easier to see and understand but I need to figure out how to automate that or make the changes on every machine in the school.

Note that the printer choice defaults to the copier in your building.

We are trying to save money on ink so always use the office copiers if possible. You can and are encouraged to use the color lab printers for low volume student and teacher documents that need color.
