Student Animations

NOTE: These movies may not be viewable on Macintosh 10.7 (Lion). We are working to resolve the issue.

First grade students made these animations using a the Flip Boom program. You need QuickTime to see these movies. On occasion, you may be a question mark and you will need to refresh the page with the movie. I believe this is a problem with the town's web server.

2008

Here are a few second grade movies.

Here are some fifth grade movies.

Here are some sixth grade movies.

Second grade students studied ocean habitats. The classroom teacher and technology specialist worked with students to create multimedia projects using MediaBlender. MediaBlender is similar to HyperStudio. Click on different objects to reveal facts about that object.

Third grade and fifth grade students used StageCast Creator to explore programming. They designed mazes and a character to move through the maze. Some students create power-ups and a energy variable that decreases with regular movements and increases when they encounter a power-up. Students also used doors to enhance their games.

Third and fifth grade students recreated the classic arcade game Asteroids as they continued to learn about programming. In this project, they learn about automatic rules (not governed by a keystroke) and global variables (used to keep score).
